If you feel that you develop insomnia, you do not have to see an insomnia doctorimmediately. It is not always true that insomnia disorder always need an insomnia doctor to treat, especially for mild cases. An insomnia doctor may be required only to help people with serious case of insomnia, but not for the mild cases.

If you see an insomnia doctor to treat your insomnia, the doctor may give you a prescription drugs or sleeping pills. The drugs or sleeping pills are usually not a great solution since they have side effects and can make you dependent to them. 
To treat insomnia, there are actually natural cures and methods which are safer than drugs prescribed by an insomnia doctor. However, you should do it patiently and regularly in order to get a good result. Doing exercise regularly at least 2 hour before bedtime will help you get relaxing. Do it each day at the same time. Try to sleep with the regular schedule every night.Make your bedroom dark and quite enough with good air ventilation. Avoid any other activities such as reading and watching television in your bedroom.

Limit the caffeine and alcohol intake during the day, especially when you do it close to bedtime. Nicotine is also a stimulant, the substance which can make you awake like caffeine. While alcohol can disturb your sleeping by produce urine much better which can make you urinate for many times. It certainly will disrupt your sleep. Drinking a cup of warm milk before sleep is the good idea. If you want to be more relaxed, you can listen to the smooth music. Besides, there are still many methods to treat insomnia such as herbal treatment, massage therapy, relaxation, and more. With all these option, may need no insomnia doctor.
