Many people all around the world get sleep apnea, a sleep disorder which is indicated by frequent pauses of breathing during sleep. Some of them are aware that they may get a mild case, and others are not. The pauses of breathing can happen up to a hundred times a night, and each can go on for a minute. In many cases,
sleep apnea is a chronic disorder. It means that once diagnosed, the disorder will last a lifetime. To overcome the disorder, treatments is the most effective way since there are no great
sleep apnea cures according to the experts.
There are three kinds of sleep apnea known; obstructive, central, and mixed sleep apnea. Among the three, obstructive sleep apnea is the most common suffered by many people. The condition is indicated by snoring, stop breathing and gasping for the air for many times. The
obstructive of the airway happens since the tissues in the upper airway become weak and close to one another. The possible
sleep apnea cures for this type is by using CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and surgery.
CPAP is the most suggested treatment for those with severe sleep apnea. The sufferer is connected to the device while sleeping to supply the air continuously. It works through a medical pump with a flexible tube attached to the
nostril or a facemask. When breathing stops, the device corrects the problem. This can be the effective
sleep apnea cures.
Another way which can be also considered sleep apnea cures is surgery. This method is done by removing
tonsils, adenoids or excess tissue at the back of the throat or inside the nose. The surgical therapy is based on identifying the sites of airway obstruction, possibly the nose, the soft palate and the tongue. Most of the procedures have been used for years with good clinical results.
